BLUE LODGE OF THE YEAR
2007-2008
“Know thyself!”  was the injunction inscribed over the portals of
ancient temples of Initiation, for with that  was promised the
knowledge of all secrets and all mysteries.  Masonry was designed
to teach self-knowledge.   Self-knowledge involves a knowledge
much deeper, vaster and more difficult than is popularly
conceived.  It is not to be acquired through three or four degrees
in as many months; it is a knowledge impossible of full
achievement until knowledge of every other kind has been laid
aside along with the difficulties of life. The long and strenuous
pursuit shall lead it followers to its attainment.  The wisest and
most advanced of us is perhaps still but an Entered Apprentice at
this knowledge, however high his status and rank.  Here and
there maybe one who is worthy of being hailed as a Fellow Craft
in the true sense.  The full Master Mason — the just man made
perfect who has actually and not merely ceremonially traveled
the entire path, endured all its tests and ordeals, and become
raised into conscious union with the Author and Giver of Life and
able to mediate and impart that life to others — is at all times hard
to find.
Greetings to all,

I would like to welcome you to this site and to pass on my
thoughts about what is important about Masonry to me. As a
Grand Lodge Officer as well as a Past Master it is my one duty to
my sure that if you take nothing else away from this page you get
this about Masonry; we are to be held together with the bonds of
Brotherly Love through all things. It matters not if you are an
Entered Apprentice or a Thirty-Third, the benign spirit of our
Institution will allow no man to be unjustly condemned; and it is
made the duty of the Grand Lodge to see that the rights of even
the humblest member of the Order shall not be unjustly invaded,
but that impartial justice is administered to all So I stand for the
man who knows not, I will endeavor to be on the side of right,
even if it means I am wrong, for only then can this Order grow
with the type of Brothers that will keep us viable. We are growing
with new people whom are interested in the lodge because of
what we are contemplating doing. You must have new ideals and
training to keep one involved in your Lodge. This is the true Light
that I pray will make Stone Square Lodge # 42 a leading example
of how we should be as Brothers. The Bible tells us
in I Corinthians 13 and 13, And now abideth Faith, hope, and
charity, these three; but the greatest a/these is charity. That's
love to you and me. Thank you for your visit and May the
G.A.O.T.U. continue to bless you and yours.
THE SITUATION OF THE LODGE

Due East and West, WHY?  Because, after Moses had safely conducted the
children of Israel through the Red Sea, by Divine Command he erected a
tabernacle to God.  He placed it due East and West, which was to
commemorate to the latest posterity that miraculous East Wind the wrought
their mighty deliverance – this was an exact model of Solomon’s Temple;
since which time every well regulated and governed Lodge is, or ought to be
so erected.  We should note here that, in ancient times the temple was
dedicated to King Solomon. Because it was said he was our Most Ancient
Grand Master or the founder of our present system.

In modern times, to Saint John the Baptist and Saint John the Evangelist
(Apostle John), who were two eminent Christian patrons of Masonry and
since their time there is, or ought to be represented in every regular and
well governed Lodges a certain “point within a circle,” the point
representing an individual brother, the circle the boundary – line of his
conduct be hound which he is never to suffer his prejudices or passions to
betray him.  The circle is embodied by two perpendicular parallel lines,
representing Saint John the Baptist and Saint John the Evangelist (Apostle
John); and upon the top rest the Holy Bible.  In going around this circle, we
necessarily touch upon these two lines.  As well as upon the Holy Scriptures;
and while a Mason keeps himself circumscribed within their precepts it is
impossible that he should materially err.
